The Technology Applications classes have two basic goals:  Teach students the basic use of different computer related applications; and, to use technology as a tool to increase quality and performance in school.  These classes use the Microsoft Office suite of programs.  This is a one semester course this year.  Students who are in Tech Apps for first semester, will have Health second semester, and vice versa.

The Video Production classes have four basic goals that advance the curriculum of the Middle School through the use of video production, writing, and research. Our other mission is to produce our daily announcements that is shown over our Channel 1 system.

The Graphic Design and Production classes will promote school activities, functions and curriculum through the use of real-world productions.  For instance, creating the layout of flyers for sporting events, and/or, posters promoting a student program, and other projects as determined by the instructor.  This class will study different software packages to find a common language between the programs and create original graphics to be used on FISD webpages (and all points in between).

Journalism is a two-year elective. Students who take Journalism I as 7th graders have the option of taking Journalism II as 8th graders. During these classes we study good reporting techniques and editing skills. Students in Journalism II also assist in producing our Middle School year book.
