Science Lab Performed Students in Mrs. Bourland's, Ms. Buchanan's and Ms. Rimmer's classes tried out a delicious new experiment to model the making of rocks. They took various candies to represent the rocks and then scraped them into smaller pieces to simulate the erosion process. They then layered the "rocks", applied pressure and then applied heat. When all observations were complete, it was time to eat the rocks. Science really does ROCK!

Basketball Opens Season With Team Spirit Our Jags traveled to Uvalde and took care of business in outstanding fashion. The 7th grade A-Team won 83-4. This win was possible due to outstanding shooting, assists and rebounding as a team. The 7th grade B-Team won their game with lots of hard work on offense and defense. The final score was 30-14. The 8th grade B-Team also came out with a win by defeating Uvalde 25-11. The 8th grade A-Team lost a close game 38-45. Even though the team lost, lots of credit needs to be handed out for outstanding offense and defense. In the game two students had a total of 11 steals and another two students had a total of 12 rebounds. All our Jags played hard and represented Floresville well. Please give each one a pat on the back when you see them. |
