| What is the CEI Lab?
A computer lab for students identified with dyslexia Creative Education Institute (CEI) was established in 1987 with the firm conviction that everyone can learn. CEI is dedicated to the research, design, and marketing of methods that offer all individuals the opportunity to reach more of their learning potential. CEI offers an interactive, computer-based therapeutic approach to help people with learning differences build language skills. The heart of CEI's programs capitalizes on the brain's capacity to adapt or develop pathways to learning. CEI's program Essential Learning Systems (ELS) exercises link visual, auditory, and motor-kinesthetic pathways in the brain. An individual's ability to implant and recall information can be significantly improved by using a prescriptive series of these sensory integrated exercises. What is Sensory Integration Training? 1 Sensory Integration Training or SIT is a series of activities that exercise the visual, auditory, and motor-kinesthetic pathways in the brain. SIT trains these senses to work together so that information is stored, retrieved, and processed more efficiently so that reading and writing becomes more fluid. 2 By completing SIT exercises, the brain's sensory pathways are interlocked, and the result is reflexive learning. Click on it, and when it asks for a password simply type in the word success. You and your child will be able to complete Creative Crosswords and Word Searches, Picture This, and/or CEI Journal entries. Back to CEI/RISE |
