Assistance with various parenting strategies and issues faced by our students {perfectionism, bullying, managing behaviors and setting rules at home (to name a few)} can be found in a monthly newsletter published by NYU Child Study Center.  Click HERE to check out the newsletters which are available in several languages.

 

In today's society there are many changing family structures.  Our community has a great number of grandparents raising their grandkids.  The Alamo Agency on Aging coordinates services for many counties in the San Antonio area, including Wilson County.     

A Support Group, entitled Grandparents Growing Grandchildren is being hosted and scheduled to meet Wednesdays and Thursdays here in Floresville.  All supportive services are available on simply a donation basis.  In order to get involved in this support group, please call Maria Wilson at 1-866-231-4922.

Our local Public Broadcasting Station (PBS) has many activities and programs designed to help parents and children work together in learning, socialization, and character building.
