Book Report on Rebecca of Blossom Prairie
Have you ever read Rebecca of Blossom Prairie? This book is by Maurine Walpole Liles. It is about a pioneer family traveling to Blossom Prairie. The characters face many hardships along the way. But every time, the family manages to figure out a way to solve them. When they arrive, the family is overjoyed to have a home that isn't on wheels. Kitty, Charles, John Nance, Mary, and William are Rebecca's children. The family members are nice to each other. They help each other out when times are rough. It is fun to read about this large family. This book inspires me to go and explore new things. Many kids would like to read this book because it is mostly about problems that the family has along the way. Many people in the story think a family without a father can't possibly live as a pioneer. This family is loving and caring. They are very smart and sweet. People will want to read it because it is very informative about the things they had and didn't have. I love this book because it has many events inside of it. I hope more people will read this awesome book. Many people would love it very much. Many things were different back then from things today. They did not have electricity. They did not have cars, either. They could not turn on an air conditioner when it was warm because they were not invented back then. I would like to live as a pioneer because I would like to travel with them all over America. The sights would be spectacular! I would like to see Devil's Backbone. I would have a lot of fun. I think that kids that live in the woods without electricity can really relate to this wonderful story.
