The Church Now

Because the church was growing, a new building was built in 1941 and finished in 1942.  The sanctuary, completed in 1942, is the same one used today.  In 1954, more space was needed for educational classrooms.  A new wing was built with the dedication ceremony held in January, 1955.

In 1968, a very important historical event took place.  The Methodist Church merged with the Evangelical United Brethren church to become the United Methodist Church.

In 1997, a new Fellowship Hall was constructed.  This building contains a kitchen and seven classrooms surrounding a large hall.  The fellowship hall is used regularly for church and community events.
