Steps for writing your TAKS composition:

      1.      Listen to the prompt
2.      Trace lined-sheet onto the blank pages
3.      Reread the prompt to yourself
4.      Brainstorm on the prompt sheet
5.      Pick one of your ideas to write about and brainstorm a new list
6.      Prewrite to organize your paragraphs
7.      1^st draft writing/Don’t forget to indent and use a “good-sized” handwriting
8.      Stop frequently and read over
9.      Edit for COPS
10.    Revise for better word choices/sentence structure/elaboration
11.    REWRITE FINAL COPY NEATLY
12.    Reread and fix any mistakes
