Guest Speaker: Dr. Diane Way, speaking on peer pressure, bullying, and how parents can help

The Floresville Elementary PTA is seeking a treasurer to replace John Kenemore, who had to step down due to the time demands of his business. He donated an accounting program, Quickbooks Pro, and it is ready to be copied on a Windows computer, complete with all PTA transactions through May 15. The treasurer would need to be able to attend evening board meetings (about once a month) and PTA general meetings in November, January, March, and May. This is a very important officer position, and we really need everyone's help to fill it! If you would like to get more information or to nominate yourself or someone else, please contact:

There will be another meeting of all school volunteers, including room parents, on Friday, Oct. 20 at 7:30 am in the elementary school cafeteria. This is for all parents who are available to volunteer at school, and who can attend at that time. It's a fun way to get to know other parents, share information, and enjoy refreshments. We plan to hold these meetings about once a month.

Mark your calendars! The next PTA meeting will be held Thursday, Nov. 16, at 6:30 pm in the elementary school cafeteria and will feature Mr. Vinson speaking on the character education program. He will also speak at the Tiny Tigers PTA meeting Sept. 25.
