Hi
Hi, my
name is Carmen Garza and I teach 1st and 2nd grade Resource/Inclusion
here at Floresville Primary. I was born and raised in Ohio,
but have lived in Texas
for 26 years, of which 15 years have been in Floresville. I received my
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in 1981, from Bowling Green State
University in Ohio, specializing in Retailing. I left the
corporate world many years ago after starting a family. I changed career paths
when I started working as a Paraprofessional for eight
years in Floresville, and a Substitute for three. After my children were old
enough, I decided to return to school and get my teaching certification. Three
of my eight years as a Paraprofessional were in Special Education, which I found
very rewarding, so I decided to get my certification in this field. I am
certified to teach grades K-12th; this is my second year teaching 1st
and 2nd grades. I have been married to my police officer husband for
25 years. I have three fantastic children; a son who graduated in 2002, a
daughter who graduated in 2008, and my youngest son, who is a junior in high
school. My hobbies include reading (when I have the time), arts and crafts, and
making jewelry. I look forward to having a great year at Floresville Primary!
