We've done our best to "get it right" when it comes to hard facts and sources.  Serious historians, however, should be aware that these web pages were created by elementary school students, aged nine through twelve.  Much of our information came from oral histories and interviews with individuals who were relying on their own memories and impressions.  Our written sources included privately published volumes such as the booklet printed to celebrate Wilson County's 100th birthday.  Information from such sources invariably comes, in turn, from the memories of fallible individuals.   Although we cannot change the information on this web page at this time, due to contest rules, we would appreciate your corrections, for our own information and so that we can perhaps correct mistakes at a later date.  Contact the webspinner with further questions and comments.   Thank you!
