Horns at FES

Jim Cathey and Amanda Beatty brought four of their best horn players to room 301 at Floresville Elementary to demonstrate the wonders of the horn. Students from Mrs. Wiatrek's Block A learned that the instrument is erroneously called the French Horn, but is, in fact, correctly named "The Horn".

Erin Brown, Madison Taber, Brittney Conn and Leah Sijansky played several tunes for the students and Mr. Cathey and Ms. Beatty gave many interesting details about the instrument. We're sure that many of our excellent 5th grade students will go on to superior band careers in Middle School.
